Throughout the course, you'll improve your sewing skills and learn how to refresh your own wardrobe for a perfect fit. Let's sew and create together!
Please note that this class is suitable for both beginners and students who wish to continue practicing and honing their sewing skills.
All materials are included. Students will purchase some sewing tools.
About the Instructor:
Hilla Shapira is a costume designer and multidisciplinary artist originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, who is currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work explores the relationship between standard design and body regimen and questions design norms and the political aspects of everyday objects. Shapira has designed costumes for various performances and festivals in Israel, Europe, and the USA, including the Brooklyn Ballet (Brooklyn, NY), José Limón Dance (NY, NY), Yasmeen Godder Company (Tel Aviv, Israel), Inbal Theater (Tel Aviv, Israel), Hazira Festival (Jerusalem, Israel). Shapira's work has been featured in various publications, including Hyperallergic Magazine, Metalsmith Magazine, Portfolio Magazine, Haaretz, and the Jerusalem Post.
