School Age (4-10 yrs)
At the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan on the UWS, we are passionate about providing high-quality programs for school-age children. Our dedicated staff members are experts in school-age education and are committed to creating engaging, child-led, and progressive learning experiences. Our programs foster a sense of community, where children feel encouraged to take risks, explore new interests, and form lasting friendships. Whether it’s after school or on weekends, our welcoming and enriching environment is designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and build confidence in children ages 4 to 10. Whether your child is interested in the arts, sports, or science, our diverse classes offer something for everyone. From dance, sports, and martial arts to pottery and STEM, we create an environment where children can explore their passions and develop new skills with confidence.
We are proud to offer these programs in our state-of-the-art studio spaces, equipped with top-of-the-line amenities to enhance every learning experience. Our dance studios feature professional-grade flooring and mirrors, providing the perfect setting for young dancers to develop their skills. In our fully equipped STEM classes, budding scientists and engineers have access to the latest technology, allowing their ideas to come to life through hands-on projects. Our pottery studio is equipped with modern kilns and ample workspace, inviting children to get creative with clay. Children can learn sports ranging from basketball to pickleball in our amazing gym.
Our skilled instructors bring enthusiasm and expertise to every class, ensuring that each child receives a high-quality educational experience. Whether it’s cooking and baking in our professional-grade kitchen or participating in our top-tier sports and swimming programs, children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop important life skills in a positive and supportive environment.
When you enroll your child in our classes, you’re not just investing in their education—you’re also supporting our nonprofit organization on the Upper West Side and helping us to provide enriching experiences for the community, ensuring that children of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from their local community.

After School Pick Up + Clubhouse
Looking for a way to ensure your child gets safely from school to their after-school activities? Want to guarantee their afternoons are filled with play and productivity in a safe and nurturing environment? The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan’s After School Pick-Up + Clubhouse program has you covered!
The JCC’s After School Pick Up Service + Clubhouse is available for children in grades K–5 enrolled in PS 87, PS 334, PS 199, Parkside, and Success Academy Upper West. The After School Pick-Up service includes having our JCC Clubhouse counselors pick up your child from school and make sure they're comfortably situated at the JCC where they can enjoy creative play, art, a snack, and dedicated time set aside for homework and reading. If your child is also registered for JCC after school classes, our counselors will escort them to and from their programs.
The After School Clubhouse program runs Mondays-Thursdays from school dismissal until 5:30 pm, and you are welcome to register for one, two, three, or four afternoons a week. If we do not offer pick-up from your school, but you are still interested in our Clubhouse program, please email Rachel Alter at ralter@mmjccm.org for more information and pricing. We encourage you to join us for the full week for the most cohesive experience.
