The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery
About The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery
The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan is committed to providing high-quality, thought-provoking arts and cultural programs that challenge, delight, and educate our audiences.
Over the past several years, we have curated exhibits of unique, contemporary work from local and international visual artists in The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery, providing our constituents, and the general public, with year-round access to innovative, interactive, and thought-provoking art that generates conversation.
The gallery hosts several exhibits annually, each running for approximately 2–4 months, ranging from solo artist shows to historical multimedia exhibits and touring shows from museums and galleries worldwide. Programming, tours, and special events related to each exhibit connect the visual art in the gallery to other program areas throughout the JCC, providing additional opportunities to bring art into the everyday lives of our community.
Annually, thousands of people engage with the images and ideas expressed in this unique public space, sharing in a collective experience while simultaneously creating their own unique and personal pathways of engagement, understanding, and meaning. The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery promises to celebrate and promote new ways of understanding art, history, culture, and Jewish life.
