In Person. In this pottery class, students will learn and/or hone their wheel throwing abilities—from the basics of wedging clay, center, pulling, and trimming to more advanced techniques of throwing off the hump, making multiples, and attaching and fitting pieces together. Beginners will focus on wedging and centering clay to form cylinders and bowls on the potter's wheel. More advanced students will hone skills and learn to elaborate on the forms that they make. Each class will begin with a demonstration of a specific form, followed by one-on-one help as needed. Students will get to choose from 3 different stoneware clay bodies and more than 20 glazes (cone 6 firing).

Instructor: Amy Schnitzer
