Beit Midrash Dedication

Weekend of Joy

It is hard to believe that after more than 20 amazing years innovating Jewish communal life at the JCC and beyond, our beloved Rabbi Joy Levitt will be retiring at the end of the year. As we thought about her retirement, we sought a way that we could honor her and celebrate her uncountable contributions to the JCC and there was only one vision that came to mind: naming the Beit Midrash in her honor, the Rabbi Joy Levitt Beit Midrash.

Central to the life of the Beit Midrash is the JCC’s mission—we are stronger when we are in community. Whether we are studying in pairs of two or in a room filled with people, it is when we struggle together with these texts that they truly come alive. Joy has never wavered from her deep commitment to Jewish tradition and what it can hold for all of us.

It is our hope that you will join our campaign to name the Beit Midrash at the JCC, and add your name to the list of people who have tremendous gratitude and love for Joy. We are grateful for a gift of any size. We hope you will join us to honor Joy at this incredible moment. Our thanks in advance for your support.
