Jeffrey Ori Feig, 2024 Honoree

Jeffrey Ori Feig - Headshot PhotoJeffrey Ori Feig was raised in Toronto alongside his brother Paul, sons of Holocaust survivors Arthur and Fay. The family arrived in Toronto in 1962, with Arthur from Romania and Fay from Israel. Growing up in a conservative Jewish household, Jeff attended a Jewish Day School through 9th grade.

Following his graduation from the University of Western Ontario, Jeff embarked on a career in finance on Wall Street with Citibank. One lasting legacy was establishing an innovation center for Citibank in Israel, now employing over 300 individuals.

In 2016, Jeff survived a cardiac arrest, prompting him to retire from finance and redirect his focus to family and the Jewish people.

Jeff's involvement with the JCC began in 2007 after experiencing the transformative Tikkun Leil Shavuot, now named in memory of his late brother Paul. Over the years, Jeff served as treasurer, vice-chair, led the CEO search committee, and then assumed the role of board chair in 2021.

Serving as Chair of the JCC board has been a pinnacle experience for Jeff. Working closely with esteemed Jewish leaders Rabbis Joy Levitt and Joanna Samuels has been a cherished privilege. Jeff is also a Wexner Heritage fellow and actively participates on various non-profit boards.

Jeff treasures spending time with his children: Zachary, Benny, and Jacob. He is filled with joy that his kids proudly embody the spirited Judaism and passionate Zionism Jeff inherited from his late father and mother.

Transitioning from Board Chair to Chair Emeritus, Jeff eagerly anticipates allocating more time to enjoy JCC classes, films, concerts, art shows, and workouts alongside his partner, Emily.

Being succinct has never been a goal or strength, so you will find Jeff’s more personal, less edited and not entirely appropriate biography here.
