Sibshops: Kids
Sibshops: Kids
In Person. Sibshops: Kids is a social, recreational program for young (ages 6-9) brothers and sisters of siblings with disabilities (also known as “sibs”). At Sibshops, Sibs will have an opportunity to meet other Sibs (usually for the first time), allowing access to unique peer support with others who really “get it.” There will be plenty of opportunities for young Sibs to talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sibling(s) living with a disability and to learn more about disability and the services their brothers and sisters receive. Arguably the most important part about Sibshops is that Sibs will have the opportunity to experience all of this while playing some great games, making new friendships, and having FUN in a space designed just for them!
A brief intake is conducted prior to registration to ensure optimal group composition. To learn more, please reach out to Jess Kruger, jkruger@mmjccm.org
