JCC Nursery School Parents Association
A Note from the Parents Association Co-chairs

Hi! We’re Kara Feigeles and Talia Kasher, and we’re your Parents Association co-chairs for the 2023-24 school year.
It’s hard to put into words what we love most about the Nursery School community. It’s the sounds and smells that take over the second floor (don’t worry, we’re just talking about the challah on Fridays!). It’s watching the kids fall over laughing as they talk to the fish or Myrtle the Turtle (ok, not his “official” name, but we’re trying to make it happen!) in our 12-foot-long tank. It’s seeing friends stomping and singing with Paul during Shabbat Sing.
And it’s also the teachers, administrators, and staff — the heart and soul of our school — that we love. And getting to celebrate them and support them in this role is something we don’t take lightly.
We are thrilled to be able to spend this year together planning events and giving back with our vibrant parent community. Our kids have made great friends here, but we, too, now count some of the parents we’ve met as our closest friends. It’s our hope that all of you find your “people” here, as well: the people who step in and send soup when your family is sick, the people you look forward to having kid-free dinners with, and the people who will pick up your kids when you’re in a childcare bind. Maybe you’ll find a forever friend when you volunteer to label challah or when you last minute decide to go to that PA event.
So on that note, there are many different ways to get involved, and we hope you’ll join us. And we’d love to hear from you — always. We’re just an email or text away. Or come over and chat in the common space (or when you run into us at the playground!)! We can’t wait to meet you all!

Nursery School Wish List
The Parents Association, in partnership with the nursery school, facilitates opportunities throughout the year to enhance the school experience for our children and their families. The items on our wish list extend the sense of community formed inside the nursery school’s classrooms that go beyond Parent Association dues and tuition fees. Your gift through the wish list, at any level, works toward our goal of making your family’s experience the very best it can be. Please consider a generous gift today, as our school is dependent upon the support of parents, grandparents, alumni, and special friends like you who make our work possible.
Please click below to view the nursery school wish list. If you have any questions, please contact Shelby Ebert at 646.505.4368 or sebert@mmjccm.org. Thank you for your support!
