2026 Rate Adjustments

Beginning January 1, 2026, the JCC will introduce a necessary adjustment to membership rates. For many years, we have kept increases significantly below the rising costs of operating a high-quality, community-centered facility in New York City. This year’s increase—higher than in previous years—ensures we can continue investing in the safety, care, and experience our members expect.

Recent enhancements include new cardio and strength equipment, expanded fitness class offerings, continued upgrades to our Aquatics Center, and ongoing improvements to our locker rooms and public spaces.
This adjustment reflects the organization’s significant investments in enhanced safety measures and comprehensive maintenance improvements to our facilities, as our building approaches its 25th anniversary next fiscal year.

Why is the JCC increasing membership rates this year?

To continue providing a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience, we must keep pace with rising operational costs in New York City. While we have kept increases minimal for many years—often absorbing significant expenses—this year’s adjustment is higher than usual. It ensures we can continue to invest in modern equipment, well-maintained facilities, highly trained staff, and the community programs you rely on.

What investments has the JCC made recently?

This year’s increase supports member experience, especially safety enhancements for the security of our community as well as training of our colleagues and staff.

In addition, we expanded and refreshed our fitness, aquatics, and facility offerings, including:

14 new pieces of modern cardio and strength equipment
Expanded group exercise schedule to 53 weekly classes
New formats like Barrelates and toning-focused classes
Upgrades to kettlebells, TRX bands, mats, sandbags, and free weights
Continued enhancements across our locker rooms, aquatics areas, and public spaces
Ongoing training and certification for lifeguards and instructors

These improvements help reduce wait times, create more choice, and support a more comfortable member experience.
