1 pm session led by Roger Puckett.
Roger Puckett has danced in Broadway shows choreographed by the great Bob Fosse, Jack Cole, and Jerome Robbins. He teaches Nia Dance and Jazz it Up dance classes at the JCC. He and his wife, Yvonne Puckett, have created a Moving To Heal class called Young At Heart, which they teach at senior community centers throughout New York City.

2 pm - Snacks and conversation

3 pm session led by Valeria Koutmina from The Creative Circle
The Creative Center art workshop program will serve participants experiencing mild to moderate memory loss and their dedicated caregivers. Artmaking sessions will create a safe and engaging space where participants will be able to discover new methods of self-expression and communication, experience support in managing emotions, and form meaningful connections with others.

Valeria Koutmina is a board-certified creative arts therapist, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction practitioner, yogi, and artist. The aim of her therapeutic practice is to align clients with the right media and tools to help them attain meaningful change. Body-based methods, tactile and sensory integration, humor, play, and multimodal and archetypal approaches are highlighted in her creative sessions with diverse populations, including clients living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. As an artist, Valeria enjoys working with fibers, collage, drawing, and painting.
