Janet R. Kirchheimer, Teaching Fellow, CLAL

Virtual. Unlock your life’s story and join a relaxed and supportive space to explore memoir writing. Through diverse prompts and with instructor guidance, you'll create first drafts for further development. Engage in discussions on favorite writers, the craft of writing, and further reading suggestions. No writing experience is required.

Janet R. Kirchheimer is the author of How to Spot One of  Us (CLAL, 2007) and coauthor of Seduction: Out of Eden (Kelsay Books, 2022). Her website is www.janetkworks.com.

Student Testimonial: I didn’t know if I had a story to tell and, if I did, if I could craft a narrative compelling enough for anyone to want to read it. Luckily for me, I found the JCC’s A Memoir-Writing Workshop. The class is a beautiful gift of transformation, and I saw personal reflections and scribblings about life blossom into readable prose. If you have even the slightest interest in creative writing, I highly recommend this class.
