In Person. Living Well Together at the JCC (Wechsler Center) offers an opportunity to join a collaborative group of peers who help each other with health-related services.

Need a knee surgeon? Someone to pick you up from a medical test? Meet in an LWT small group where you get to know each other and feel relaxed calling for their help. Assistance is available from the 300+ members who offer the following:

Hands-on Help: Members go with other members to medical appointments or procedures. Recently, a member needed someone to accompany him after cataract surgery. Three people volunteered.

Information: Sharing names of trusted medical professionals or sharing experiences. One woman who was facing back surgery wanted to talk to a member who had been through that. There were more than 10 replies.

Small Groups: Living Well Together facilitates small groups where members meet monthly in a safe and confidential space for relevant and supportive sessions. Topics have ranged from discussing Albert Einstein’s famous quote: “In the Middle of Difficulty Lies Opportunity” to how to have Thanksgiving dinner during COVID.
