In Person + Virtual Group Exercise Classes

The JCC Health Club is proud to offer the following daily in-person and live virtual group exercise classes. These classes are free for JCC Health Club members. JCC Pool, Basketball, and Community members as well as the public are also welcome to participate by purchasing JCC Class Passes.

Please note in order to attend any class, virtual or in-person, one must register for the class on our JCC MindBody website or through the JCC app.

Our classes are taught by certified group exercise instructors who will help you get the most out of your workout and bring fun back into fitness to keep you coming back for more. We offer an unparalleled variety of classes, 6 days a week, for adults of all ages. Please scroll down for pricing and registration information. To register, click on a class below.

To register for a class you can sign up here through MindBody or visit our app.

How do I make a MindBody Account and pay for a class?

Note: If you are a Health Club Member you should already have an account in the system.

Click here to create your new password. If you are not a Health Club member, start by clicking here to create a new account and sign up for a class.

  • Enter your email and then click "Next".

  • Fill in your information and make sure you keep the setting "email communication" checked in order to receive the Zoom links for your class.

  • Agree to the terms of service and click "Create Account"

  • Click on the "Virtual Group Exercise" tab found in the top left-hand corner.

  • Select your class by clicking "Sign Up Now"

  • Select the Virtual Drop-In Class product and click "Checkout"

  • Fill in your credit card information and click "Place Order"

How do I reset my password?
  • Starting here, click "Need new password?" on the bottom left, OR "Need Password" on the top right-hand side of the page.

  • Enter your Email and then click "Next"

  • Open your email and then click "Create New Password"

  • Create a new password and click "Save", you should then be automatically logged in.

  • On your profile page, make sure you've checked the three email boxes in the "Personal" column 

  • If they're not checked, click the "Edit" button at the top of the column and then check the three email boxes and click "Save".

  • This will ensure you receive the Zoom links to join your class.

After you sign up for a class, you will receive a confirmation email with the necessary Zoom link and additional class information.

I'm a Health Club Member, why did it ask me to pay for the class?

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please email us at personalservice@mmjccm.org so that we can fix your account. If the class is about to start and you pay to attend we will refund the price for the class and ensure your membership status is set up appropriately in our new system.

If the class is about to start, it would be quicker to purchase a seat to attend and get a refund after the class.

  • Click on the "My Info" tab

  • Ensure the "Personal" column in your profile has all three email boxes checked. This is to ensure you receive the Zoom link when you sign up for your class.

  • If they are not checked click Edit to the right of Personal.

  • Click on the three boxes and click "Save"

  • Click on the "Virtual Group Exercise" tab found near the top left-hand corner.

  • Select your class by clicking "Sign Up Now"

  • Select the Virtual Drop-In Class product and click "Checkout"

  • Fill in your Credit Card information and click "Place Order"

  • Email personalservice@mmjccm.org to request your refund and to ensure you do not have to pay for another class next time you sign up.

I'm not a Health Club Member, how do I pay for a class?

Once you have created a MindBody account by following the steps listed above, MindBody will automatically ask you for a method of payment before confirming your reservation.

I signed up and received my confirmation email, but the Zoom link does not work?

Please email personalservice@mmjccm.org and include a contact number and the class information. A JCC staff member will get back to you shortly.

Class Policies

Please note the following policies:

  • Class sizes are capped between 16-25 depending on the class format and equipment needs. Hybrid and virtual classes are capped at 20.

  • For safety reasons, please do not enter a group exercise class 10 minutes after its start time. This applies to both in-person and virtual classes.

  • Equipment will be provided. However, members are encouraged to bring their own. All in class equipment will be cleaned before and after use.

  • There is a 14-day reservation window for all group exercise classes. Participants can sign up for a spot 14 days in advance of the class. Since many of our classes are popular, we encourage members to register ahead of time.

Barre

Barre Body Condition / Bare Strength & Recovery: This Ballet inspired low-impact total body workout targets the hips, glutes, quadriceps, as well as abs, and arms. Barre Body Conditioning focuses on proper alignment while blending strength training with core conditioning.

Boxing / Conditioning

Boxing: A rigorous, fun workout taught by professional boxers. A great, powerful workout.

Dance

Broadway Jazz Dance! Learn a variety of jazz and Broadway dance combinations. Each class will start with a warm up and body activation work before learning and dancing a piece of choreography. Super fun and a great workout! All ages and levels welcome!

Just Dance! This fun and friendly dance class incorporates different styles of dance including Jazz, Broadway, Pop, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Each week participants learn creative choreography while moving and grooving to the music! Open-level class. No equipment necessary. 

Jazz It Up: Jazz, Modern, Broadway...this class has it all. Build dance skills while having fun in this flowing, energizing dance experience.

MELT

MELT: This class will help participants rehydrate their connective tissue and rebalance their reflexive and rooted core. This one-of-a-kind program improves posture, reduces the risk of injury, and assists in keeping you active and pain free for a lifetime.

MELT Length: This class is a part of the MELT Method system focused on rehydrating your connective tissue and rebalancing your reflexive and rooted core. This one-of-a-kind technique improves posture, reduces the risk of injury, and assists in keeping you active and pain free for a lifetime.

MELT Performance: This class is a combination of MELT® Length and Strength techniques. Participants will rehydrate their connective tissue and rebalance their reflexive and rooted core. This one-of-a-kind program improves posture, reduces the risk of injury, and assists in keeping you active and pain free for a lifetime.

MELT & A.I. Stretch: MELT® rehydrates the connective tissue to increase hydration and neurological function. A.I. Stretch uses a strap or rope to assist with range of motion and helps increase flexibility in all muscle groups. Together, these two modalities work to help you feel great.

Mobility / Alignment / Stretch / Recovery

Sit N' Fit: This class improves circulation and learns how to work out while protecting your joints. Chairs, resistance bands, and light weights are used to increase range of motion, build strength, and improve cardiovascular fitness. A great class for those just beginning to exercise and those needing to minimize joint stress.

A.I. Stretch: Active stretches based on yoga utilizing a yoga strap. Each stretch is held for a maximum of 2 seconds while contracting the opposing muscle group - stretching and strengthening at the same time. Includes stretches for the entire body - hip and trunk, neck, shoulders, hands and feet. A-I Stretch is both energizing and relaxing and suitable for all levels. Everyone benefits!

Athletic Stretch + Mend: This class follows the Mend method of laying on the floor and moving through passive slow stretches targeting different muscles in the body. The class ends with a fascia rolling foot treatment using the Mend egg.

Nia

Nia: Kick off your shoes and rock your body and soul into shape the easy way. Cross train with movements from martial arts, yoga, and dance. Heal your body or work towards your potential as you learn to move from ground to standing. Awaken to the inner power that you have to heal your body, your heart, and your life.

Pilates

Contemporary Pilates: Weaving breath with contemporary and creative pilates exercises, this class will help you strengthen your deep core muscles, shoulder stabilizers and hip musculature. Unlock areas of restriction and strengthen areas that are unstable, creating more overall ease and movement efficiency throughout the body. Emerge taller and lighter, with a deeper sense of your breath and more connection to your core. This class is safe for all ages and abilities and those with osteoporosis and osteopenia. Equipment will be provided. 

Pilates / Pilates Mat: Developed by Joseph Pilates, this innovative system teaches body awareness by learning how to access your “power house” (core) to improve your posture, strengthen your core, and ultimately change the shape of your body by bringing it into better alignment.

Sculpting / Body Weight + Light Weights

Total Body Toning, Basic Fitness, Fitness Plus, Fun with Fitness, Total Body Core, Body Conditioning, Strength + Sweat, Cardio Intervals, and TRX: These classes use light weights or bodyweight. They focus on building strength and conditioning the total body. 

Sculpt + Core: A total body workout with particular attention to core strength. Each class will vary its focus on different muscle groups to ensure participants get a well rounded workout every week. Members will leave feeling stronger, more energized, and highly aware of their core!

Yoga

Anusara Yoga: In this yoga class a unique set of concise bio-mechanical alignment principles is applied to each asana. Students are taught how to align themselves in order to feel more energized, to release patterns of poor posture, and hold tension and pain. During the practice of Anusara yoga we incorporate ancient wisdom teachings from yoga that encourage students to connect to their own authentic essential Self.

Iyengar Yoga: Based on the teachings of BKS Iyengar, learn how to find your true alignment in postures. Move with simplicity and power through the asanas. Learn exactly how your bones are designed to support you.

Stretch + Restore Yoga: Class starts with simple yoga poses and stretches designed to release layers of tension in the whole body. Then using bolsters and blankets, sink into supported poses, rest deeply, further releasing tension and calming the nervous system for wholesome restoration and relaxation. Stretch & Restore is a great class for those new to fitness, returning after injury, athletes recovering from high intensity workouts or anyone needing a reset from a stressful schedule. Open-level class. Equipment will be provided

Yoga Flow + Restore: This yoga class focuses on the body-breath connection. Music is paired with creative sequencing to encourage your body to energetically "flow" through poses. Each class also ends with a restorative savasana. As a result, participants will release physical tension, improve their mobility and strength, and leave the class feeling refreshed and balanced.

Yoga Flow + Sculpt: A strength based yoga class that focuses on sculpting and toning the body. Participants will move through a sequence of poses that incorporates functional bodyweight movements, such as squats, planks, and pushups and end with stretching and meditation.

Yoga + the Chair: This chair yoga class will use the chair for seated and standing work as a tool for accessing and deepening poses. For experienced yogi's this is a new way to look at familiar postures; for those new to yoga it's an accessible way to be introduced to the postures. This is an active and accessible practice.
