School Age Art

Young children learn and explore through their senses, and the experience and process is always the most exciting part of any art activity. In art, children can learn and explore through exciting and messy open-ended art materials. Little ones learn about colors, textures, and shapes while developing fine motor skills and expressing their creativity through unconventional and open-ended materials.

Classes include:

  • Contemporary Kids Art Class (4-6 Years): In this class, children will discover the artwork of contemporary artists, including Kehinde Wiley and Takashi Murakami. We'll discuss their methods and materials and then make our own artwork inspired by their creations.
  • Mythical Creatures Art Class (6-8 Years): Unicorns, dragons, even Pikachu will be regulars in this whimsical class taught by Private Picassos! Using a variety of media, children will create 2D and 3D creatures, getting inspiration from books, artists, and their own imaginations.
