Aquability Flex: Training Pool
This class incorporates strength, cardio, and pilates-based movements for a full-body workout for all levels of fitness! Build muscular and cardiovascular endurance and strength as well as increase your balance and flexibility in a warm-water, joint-friendly class. This class takes place in the Training Pool.

Aqua Aerobics: Main Pool
Join us for a full-body water workout focused on cardio and strength training that will keep you moving and coming back for more! Aqua Aerobics is adaptable for all levels and ranges mobility, no experience required.

Tuesdays + Thursdays: 10-10:50 am + 11-11:50 am
Fridays: 12:10-1 pm

Valerie Loei (Aqua Aerobics)
Valerie has been coaching and training in the fitness industry for 35 years. Her passion for health, fitness training, sports performance, and nutrition has included education and training opportunities with clients all over the world. As a result, she has developed her own custom methodologies and modules based on her experience supporting a diverse range of clients in reaching their individual goals. Valerie utilizes a three-dimensional approach on mind, body and spirit, which has been extremely effective in helping her clients achieve physical fitness, body sculpting, increased sense of wellness, and more.

In addition to personal training and teaching group classes (Aerobics; Bootcamp; Yoga; Pilates; Cardio Kickboxing) as a "Specialty Trainer" at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan’s Center for Health + Wellness, Valerie also has been teaching Aqua Aerobics for over 4 years.

Robin Mandel (Aquability Flex)
Robin is an expert certified Fitour Advanced Aqua Instructor with decades of experience teaching water fitness in NYC. Robin has many certifications in health and wellness including but not limited to nutrition, mobility, spinal stabilization, and body mechanics and that add to her insight and wide range of teaching skills. Her expansive background with knowledge about anatomy, mental health, and fitness lend to unique and catered aqua fitness classes that leave her students feeling fulfilled, seen, and empowered! Robin is an energetic, positive, and passionate water aerobics instructor who will always encourage her students to be their best selves both in and out of the pool!

Twain Revell (Aqua Aerobics)
Twain is an incredible multi-talented AEA certified water aerobics instructor with decades of experience teaching at well-known and reputable facilities all around NYC. She teaches a variety of unique and exciting water exercise classes such as arthritis, aerobics, aqua kickboxing, aqua barre, aqua boot camp, and water tether classes! Twain is intuitive, knowledgeable, and passionate about what she does and makes sure each of her students grows in their ability and strength all while sharing unique tips and modifications to make each class catered to her participants! 

How to Register

Registration for the classes below must be done online by making a reservation through the JCC's MindBody portal, accessible via this page or the JCC/Mindbody app, downloadable at Apple Store or Google Play. Classes will be available for registration online 24 hours before each class. Find these classes under the "Main Pool" tab on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the "Training Pool" tab on Mondays. Please note that while you'll be able to see the class listed ahead of time, registration will only open 24 hours before the class. Once you make your reservation, you will receive an email confirmation.

As space is limited and to accommodate the most swimmers, members can only sign up for one class per day and will be canceled out of a second class if a double booking occurs. Also, please take the time to review our Aquatics Code of Conduct.
