This class is recommended for students who have some prior experience working with clay and want to learn techniques to make plates, bowls, mugs, and vases. We will experiment with glazing methods and surface textures. Exploration of basic sculptural techniques will also be offered and students are encouraged to bring their ideas to class.


All individuals ages 5 and older are required to provide proof of full vaccination (via NYS Excelsior Pass, NYC COVID Safe app, or vaccination card) in order to enter the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan and JCC Harlem or attend any JCC program.
