Hooman Yaghoobzadeh, M.D., FACC, Clinical Associate Professor, Cardiologist, Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospita

Trillions of microorganisms live in our gut - collectively called the "microbiome" and a whole world unto themselves. A burgeoning field of research, the science of the microbiome is beginning to teach us how critical it is for our day-to-day health and well-being to have a wide diversity of microbes inhabiting our gastrointestinal tracts. But how can we achieve such diversity in a sterilized society? Dr. Yaghoobzadeh will explain what the latest science tells us to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and how nutrition modulates health through the microbiome.
